# Edgewize

> Edgewize is an SDK for running AI models on-device. It runs open-weight language, vision and speech models directly on phones, laptops, browsers and edge hardware, so responses are fast, there is no per-request cloud cost, and user data never leaves the device.

Key facts:

- Product: the Edgewize SDK, an on-device AI runtime plus a command-line tool for preparing models.
- Platforms: iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, Linux, and modern browsers through WebGPU. Edge boxes such as NVIDIA Jetson and Raspberry Pi are also supported.
- Hardware: picks the fastest unit on each device at runtime (NPU, GPU or CPU).
- Models: open-weight language, vision and speech models, including the Llama, Gemma, Qwen and Whisper families, plus your own fine-tuned weights.
- Privacy: prompts and outputs are processed on the device and are not sent to Edgewize servers. Anonymous performance metrics are collected only if the developer opts in.
- Offline: inference works with no network connection.
- Model updates: models can be updated over the air without an app release, with staged rollouts and rollback.
- Pricing: free during early access, then a flat price per app. Never priced per request.
